Built Different.

My name is David, and you might be wondering about my background. The most significant part of me is my family. We are a family of five, including myself, my wife, April, and our three sons. We are a family of six when including our dog, Mercy. 

I have an entrepreneurial background, having first owned and operated Millbrook Cricket Farm with my brothers and then starting and pastoring Grace City Church in Jackson, MS, for more than ten years. Our family moved to Charlotte in order for my wife, April, a pediatric hospitalist, to pursue an opportunity to join Atrium Health as part of the team that opened the new hospital in Matthews. Once we moved to Charlotte, I began coaching at CrossFit Doors of Daring in Waxhaw and began my career in real estate.  

One of my main worries about moving was finding a place to call home. Having spent my entire life in Jackson, starting over and finding the right home and community for my family was daunting. As we searched for a house, my wife and I saw many listings with great features and excellent amenities, which were important to us, but more than a house, we wanted a place that could be a home for us. We wanted to find a place where we could create memories and continue to raise our boys into the young men we hope they will grow to become. I believe a home is not only a place of refuge and rest but is also a launch pad as a starting place for new adventures. The home we wanted to create as a family is a sanctuary and a base camp. While this pursuit is still a work in progress, April and I journey toward this goal every day. This experience opened my eyes to the importance of having an advocate and consultant in the moving process. It is with this mission in mind that I approach my relationship with my clients.  

Some journeys have starts, stops, and new settings. Whether pastoring a church, coaching in a CrossFit gym, or helping individuals buy and sell their homes, I’ve always enjoyed coming alongside, encouraging, and assisting others as they progress on their journey, whatever that might be.
